If you are interested in meeting a particular cat, please email us to verify that he or she is still available for adoption and present at the shelter. Many of our cats are in foster homes, so please email us to let us know who you want to meet and when, so that we can arrange to bring them to an adoption event.

I was found near the Damascus Veterinary Hospital. I guess my family left me there but I don’t know why. I was always cared for. The only thing they did that I did not like was to declaw me because it makes me feel defenseless. I am about 9 -10 years old. I have to take a thyroid pill everyday. I am very good about being pilled. I really like people and sleep with my foster. I enjoy sharing the couch with her and frequently paw her arm when I want to be petted. I love to curl up on her chest when she is reclining on the couch but she gets annoyed when I kneed her too much! What I really love is when she brushes me. I can never get enough! I live with 1 other cat and I try to ignore him but also have been known to hiss at him. I would prefer to be the only cat. I enjoy chasing the laser light and string toys. Mostly I like to watch the birds and animals outside.
I am a pretty all black kitty with a very glossy coat. My former owner is very ill. Lucky for me her daughter found this great shelter for me to live in until I find my new home. I am quite affectionate and friendly and enjoy spending time with people. I prefer not to be picked up though, but I will tolerate it if it's a must.
